Swale on the East River | limited edition print, 2018

Swale on the East River | limited edition print, 2018

This limited edition print captures Swale's journey across the East River to Brooklyn. Swale is a free and public floating food forest. It has actively promoted public food in and around New York City since 2016. It has been illegal to forage on public land in New York for over a century. Swale docked adjacent to public land allowing people to be stewards and pick foods for free. Notably, it catalyzed the creation of NYC's first 24-hour public foodway in a park.

The project advocates alternate models of community-based food production to build regenerative ecosystems. Swale is committed to offering long-term opportunities for New Yorkers to engage in foraging free food in public spaces.

By acquiring this signed limited edition photographic print, you not only own unique art but also support Swale's mission to empower New Yorkers in the journey toward ecological regeneration.

Only 50 of these limited edition giclee photographs are available, and 50% of the proceeds directly benefit the Swale project.
