Infinite Worlds: Soft Sculpture | Textile Sculpture

I wove the soft sculpture "Infinite Worlds" in 2023, evidencing our connections through objects we make and use. It is woven from textiles gathered from Geneva, Switzerland. 

In 2013, I initiated a symbolic performance in NYC, where I bundled my essential possessions into large soft sculptures and pulled them through the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Because of the size of the bundles, these performances were absurd. They also could shed light on the weight of the objects, literally and metaphorically. I started transforming these textile sculptures with new narratives.

Measuring 8 x 9 x 9 inches and weighing five pounds, the soft sculpture "Infinite Worlds" functions as a daily reminder to recognize the significance of every detail in our lives.

This is a contemplative soft sculpture and is part of an ongoing series of textile sculptures. It reminds me that everything matters, including the depth and liveliness of our emotions.
